Lorraine Sherry is an Irish painter based in the seaside village of Loughshinny, Co. Dublin. An award winning photographer, she has worked on many documentaries with RTÈ. In the past number of years she has taken to painting in oils concentrating on still life and plein air landscapes.

Lorraine is a member of the VAI (this is the Representative body for professional visual artists in Ireland). Lorraine regularly paints with the boathouse painters (Fingal plein air painting group) and takes part in many plein air festivals. She will often sketch ‘people on the train’, which is part of the #dartists group. She enjoys life drawing sessions at both Ardgillan castle and with Dublin Life drawing. Most of her inspiration comes from the scenic rambles she takes with her pet whippet, Belle.
